Healthy Again.. Outrageous Choc Chip Cookies!

ALRIGHTY! First off.. My son is healthy again!!Thank God. We took him to the doctor.. he had strep! They gave him Amoxacillian and he was showing signs of feeling better in about 2 days. We took him to the Pediatrician for a check up, and all was better!

In the spirit of him being sick and cranky I haven't been able to finish his Mohawk hat.. BUT I've decided that he is going to wear it for his one year pictures, so it will be done soon!

I've begun the process of planning Grayson's First Birthday Party! Since everything we have done this year has been in Chicago Cubs - (His bedroom, coming home outfit, Christmas decorating, taking a trip to Chicago in June/going to a Cubs game) - we decided to go all out Chicago Cub style for his birthday! I have some GREAT ideas for the decorating and such! I cannot wait! I've created a checklist and have lots of decorating ideas! I'm going to use the various Cub's logos to hang from the ceiling/tables/mail box. Get some red and blue streamers, we found some baseball plates and ball field napkins, plus I'm toying with the idea of getting a set of Chicago Cubs plates/napkins/cups for the cake table. I'm having the party at my Grandfathers, which I am super thankful for him letting us use his home and saving me a lot of money having to rent a hall or something. There is a whole basement with a bar with nothing in it, plus right off that room (and down a few steps) is a beautiful in-ground pool! Yay! Food, eh, I'm still kind of thinking about what I'm going to do 100% but I'm thinking of doing Shredded Chicken Sandwiches and BBQ Shredded Pork Sandwiches. Plus a lot of little finger foods, and other sweets for those that don't like cake.. I'm going to do water bottles with cubs logos over the paper, some sort of delicious punch, and a little bit of soda/pop. We are thinking of getting him a Teddy Ruxpin, and I've been looking at some "My First Cubs Tee" t-shirts for him, and a few other Cubs stuff to stick with the spirit of the theme. I'm going to be doing a photo shoot with him in a couple months -- the end of April-ish -- with his little red Mohawk hat and I'm going to try and create a cubs logo (*crosses fingers* I hope it works) and I am going to buy little red and blue balloons and I'm going to write on them "Grayson's First Birthday" I'm going to take the pictures out in the bright green grass, make them really vibrant and colorful. I can't wait! I see it in my head so well.

Onward! I baked some great cookies this morning!! They are delicious! I got the recipe from allrecipes.com they are called Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies -- here is the recipe:

Ingredients

These cookies turned out perfectly! (350 degrees for 10 mins).

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla and egg until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the batter just until moistened. Mix in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Drop by tablespoonfuls on to lightly greased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges start to brown. Cool on cookie sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Umm.. OH! I had a 8X10 frame laying around with a super old picture of me and my brothers and my cousin, Paris. So I decided that it was time for an update (my cousin was 18 months old - she is now 16..) so I made this for the picture frame:
I love how bright and colorful these pictures are! I'm so proud of these! I'm really excited to see how the 1yr pictures come out! I'm doing the photography, editing, and designing - for the first time. I've never taken the pictures.. but I can't wait to try!

Let's see what else have I been up too?! Humm... Oh yes. so for Grayson's birthday party I'm hoping to be able to have this DVD done of his life thus far.. I hope I can sit down and actually manage my time better until this party, there is so much I want to get done! Plus I'm going to be making his shirt to wear for his big day! I'm pretty stoked about it actually! I'm going to die it various shades of blue and then have the cubs logo on it, with his last name across the back and the number 1 on the back. :)

OHH! I purchased a grill! This is exciting for me! I LOVE grilling out! So I been trying to use that.. any good grill recipes would be greatly appreciated!! :) (or share any good recipes with us!)

I also made this for a friend.. She just had a little Baybay AND she's cute as a button!
If any of you readers like the pictures you see and want a picture of your family/children made into something like ^ that or Grayson's picture above - and previous posted pictures - let me know!
I can make these in any size, even posters and canvases.. I can also design T-shirts and Sweatshirts for any occasion, organization, or just for fun! I will make your design and send you the link that you can order from. There are a bunch more pictures on the webpage! Like my page while your there!! :)

Well that's it for today :) <3

Emergency Rooms and Easter Photos!

So, I've had my family Easter Pictures days ago.. but we had another E.R. visit.. Grayson ended up having Strep Throat.. which we figured out he could of only got it from one place.. The first ER visit. Ugh!! He got a prescription for the yummy pink medicine, and has been feeling a little bit better.. a little at a time. The weather has been beautiful!! 80's or more.. we've been taking him outside. He loves the porch -- hates the grass! Hahaha. ANYWHOO.. PICH-AH Time!

I'm happy with them.. just not the amount of pictures we got.. and I didn't get any with Grayson by myself.. and Clay only got ONE with Grayson.. Uggh!! BUT hopefully we can get them done again.. We will see!

I'm working on a couple of Photoshop stuff today.. and I did a couple yesterday! I'll post them now..

These got framed and they will be hanging in my kitchen.. I wanted them to be really colorful and fun! I think they turned out really good!!

OKAY. I'm working on a Mohawk hate but haven't been able to finish it since the sickness happened.. It is almost done.. and it's nice out so hopefully we can go outside and take some pictures in his little hat as soon as he is better :) Plus his birthday party is coming up!! Ugh.. I'm about to start making lists of things I need/want to do for his party! And find a definite idea for his cake.. its Chicago Cub's themed! Going to be at my grandfathers with the pool and everything.. I want to have a fire with S'mores ugh I cannot wait! :) FUN FUN! I will try to get on later and post the new photoshopped photos I'm working on. I hope everyone enjoys! Comment and Follow <3

Ages.. And. Apologies..

So.. I know it's been weeks.. Really I don't mean to do this.. at all. Things have been a little tough lately.. Fighting with the boyfriend, E.R. visit for 6 hours, having a stomach "bug" for a 9 month old, teething, fussy, pitiful baby :( It was horrible ya'll, I wish I could have just taken his place. Anyone have pointers on helping stomach aches? The doctor gave him a prescription but I really hate giving him medicine.. I use the all natural stuff they make and sell called "Gripe Water". It seems to work sometimes and others not.. I don't know. Tips would be amazing. (Thanks in advanced) ::Side note - the rant is over - my apologize :))

Moving along! Happier Oward!

Well!! Recently, just Friday as a matter of fact! My boyfriends' cousin got married.. SO in the spirit of buying presents for them -- I decided to go cheap and hit the heart! Err, well TRY anyways.. I 'borrowed' some pictures off of their FB pages and edited them in Photo Shop.. Which as you may know I like to dabble with as well - - As if I'm not already busy with everything else I "dabble with".. SMH.

ANYWAYS - I decided to do one with the dates of importance.. Their birthdays, engagement date, and wedding date. It turned out really cool I think!
I put it in a really nice silver frame.. I think they loved them - they past them around to everyone.. Everyone said I did a great job.. Thank goodness it was a hit!!

I love doing little projects like this, so I also decided to do one a bit bigger.. I asked the couple to give me a quote, well they must have discussed it before or they talked about it when I told them not to... but they both chose the same quote from Dr. Suess. So here is the next one......

So this one.. I ended up LOVING as well!! I put it in a matching silver 8X10. I'm pretty happy with the response from it! I don't know, what do you think? Comments?!

SO - as we all know.. It was St. Patrick's Day yesterday.. Well in addition to St. Patrick's day, it is also the boyfriend's birthday. So I got the little man a shirt that said "Daddy's little lucky boy" on it and he had a pair of cute plaid green shorts.. When he fell asleep I took a picture of Grayson in the outfit and bought a frame for like $4 dollars... WELL.. Here is is folks!

I used green OF course.. I wanted it to be bright and colorful! I know probably not something that a man would want.. but a daddy would LOVE it!

Sooo.. I've been busy to the max lately.. we just got our pictures done at beautiful Falls Park in Downtown Greenville.. It was just amazing.. I'm actually waiting on those pictures as I type.. hopefully I get them so I can share a few with ya before I end this bloggy post.

I made a Strawberry Creme Pie the other day it didn't turn out like ti was supposed to but it would have been REALLY good as a fruit salad. 2 blocks of cream cheese, 2/3 cups of sugar, tbsp vanilla and about 3/4 cup of cold milk. It's like a cheesecake dip.. it would be so good with a bunch of fresh fruits mixed in with it.! Definitely must try it!

O-MY-Goodness.. I also made the BEST chicken tacos I have ever had. I mean they were amazing it was SO simple.. Get out your crock pot ladies!! All you need is some boneless chicken breasts about a pound and a half or 2 a jare of Pace Salsa I used mild.. a package of taco seasoning of your choice.. THAT's it!! Get some flour tortillas, cheese, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, tomatoes, taco sauce!! YUMMY! You should definitely try these! I found both recipes on Pinterest of course.

I'm in the middle of doing a little photo shoot with my little man outside with his new mohawk hat that I made for him recently.. I will have to finish it and hope my lil guy gets better soon :( I still haven't received the pics that I've been waiting for this entire blog.. DANG! HURRY UP!

Well.. I guess I share a few of the pictures I've taken over that last couple weeks that I've been MIA..
These two crack me up.. Reese is always curling up with Grayson and Grayson rolls all over her... They are best fraans :) P.S. Reese is the cat, and Grayson is my son.. Just to catch everyone up again.. because it's been ages since I been on here!!

This is me! You have a face to the words..

I love him more than anything else in this entire world! :)

He loves his pizza! This is while he was sick :-( He just looks sad and pitiful, poor munster man..

Well... I suppose I should mosey on! Still no pics! That will be the next update! :) Hope you enjoy, subscribe, and comment!! :)
